There's No Single Right Answer
Cleaning frequency depends on many factors: number of residents, pets, allergies, and how busy the spaces are. Here are general guidelines:
Daily (5–10 minutes)
- Wipe kitchen countertops after cooking
- Take out trash when full
- Quickly pick up items from living room floor
- Wipe sink after washing dishes
Weekly
- Vacuum all rooms
- Mop floors (kitchen, bathroom, hallway)
- Clean bathroom — bathtub, toilet, sink, floor
- Dust furniture
- Clean kitchen sink and faucet
Monthly
- Clean window frames inside
- Wipe lamps and chandeliers
- Clean fridge inside
- Vacuum mattresses
- Clean behind and under large appliances
Seasonally (2× per year)
- Deep clean the entire apartment
- Wash windows inside and outside
- Clean carpets and upholstered furniture
- Clean all wardrobes inside
- Wash curtains and blinds
With Pets — More Often
Cat and dog owners should vacuum 2–3× per week instead of once. Hair spreads faster than you think, especially on soft surfaces.
With Small Children — More Strictly
Floors and low surfaces need cleaning more often, and choose child-safe cleaning products. Special attention to disinfecting bathroom and kitchen.
Professional Cleaning as a Supplement
Even with regular cleaning, we recommend professional deep cleaning every 2–3 months — to refresh dust from corners, deep dirt and bacteria that daily cleaning doesn't remove.
