Why is Post-Move Cleaning Different?
Moving leaves a specific type of dirt — dust under heavy furniture that hasn't been moved in decades, fingerprints everywhere, residue from previous tenants. This requires a different approach than regular cleaning.
Cleaning Order After Moving
1. Empty First, Then Clean
Ideally, clean while the apartment is empty — before bringing in new furniture. All corners are accessible and the result is significantly better.
2. Work Top to Bottom
Ceiling and upper shelves → walls and cabinets → work surfaces → floor. Dust falls down, so there's no point washing floors before the ceiling.
3. Room Order
- Bathroom — hardest to clean, takes longest
- Kitchen — grease and deposits require special products
- Bedroom and living room — vacuuming, wiping, floors
- Hallway and other areas
What Definitely Needs Cleaning?
- Inside wardrobes and drawers — dust and previous tenant residue
- Under radiators — years of dust accumulation
- Window frames and blinds — especially if old
- Grilles and ventilation grids — often neglected
- Bathroom grout — check for mold
- Electrical outlets and switches — grease and dust

Tip: Book Same Day as Moving
Most efficient is to schedule cleaning right after movers take the furniture — while the apartment is empty and everything is accessible. The DayClean team arrives with all equipment and finishes in 2–4 hours depending on size.
